Auditions for the 2025 Summer Season At The Little Theatre On The Square will be held in Chicago at the Chicago Equity Office on January 28 from 9-5 for our EPA and Dance call and ECC will be on January 29 from 9-5. Please contact the Equity Office to schedule your auditon appt.

Local Auditions will be held here in Sullivan on February 15 from 10-3 with Dance Call following at 3:30 pm. Check back here for signup information coming soon.

Drama Classes

The Future Stars Program is excited to bring back Drama Classes for Students K-12 starting the week of February 20, 2025 running for 6 week sessions. We will be offering the following classes:

3rd-6th Grade Drama: Thursdays, 5:30-6:15 pm – 6 Week Session – $145
February 20, 27, March 6, 13, 20 & 27, 2025
Students will explore the different elements of acting through improvisational exercises and
games, which increase confidence, quick-thinking skills, stage presence, listening abilities, eye
contact, and physical and vocal exploration within a character choice(s). We will explore the
different elements of technical theater as well.

7th-11th Grade Drama: Thursdays, 6:15-7:15 pm – 6 Week Session – $165
February 20, 27, March 6, 13, 20 & 27, 2025
This is a performance-based class where students will build on basic acting skills. Students will
have the opportunity for participation in a variety of drama activities, such as: vocal and physical
warm-ups, monologues, character analysis, improvisational games and short scene work. We
will discuss and explore technical theater elements within the theater, as well.

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.

Once upon a time, there were four guys (Sparky, Smudge, Jinx and Frankie) who discovered that they shared a love for music and then got together to become their idols – The Four Freshman, The Hi-Lo’s and The Crew Cuts. Rehearsing in the basement of Smudge’s family’s plumbing supply company, they became “Forever Plaid”. On the way to their first big gig, the “Plaids” are broadsided by a school bus and killed instantly. It is at the moment when their careers and lives end that the story of Forever Plaid begins….
